Action for Development (AFD) in association with Life Step Organization (LSO) is one of the partners of the AIMS project and was submitted Technical Proposal to implement the assignment of “Market-Oriented Social Mobilizer” for Kampong Cham Regional Hub. This section is explained on how AFD and LSO Consortium team understands the objectives of the assignment as outlined in the Terms of Reference (ToR), as well as based on the technical approaches, and the methodologies. These institutions will adapt for implementing the tasks to deliver the expected output(s), and the degree of detail outputs.
Muslim Aid Cambodia (MAC) joint ventured with Action for Development (AFD) from 2019 till 2023 for providing specialized social mobilizing services to over 36000 small and medium farmers / producers of four commodities such as Rice, Chicken, Cassava, and Vegetable of 9 provinces: Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Tboung Khmom, Prey Veng, Preah Vihear, Steng Treng, Mundulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Kratie under the “Accelerating Inclusive Markets of Smallholder (AIMs”) project of the Ministry of Commerce (MOC), Cambodia.
The social mobilization teams was being a mechanism through which business and financial literacy training is provided to almost all participating AIMS farmers, via a cascade system using a system of Business Literacy Facilitators nominated by the members of the producer groups themselves.
The Social Mobilizer (SM) team will work under the Regional Hub Office (RHO) in supporting the implementation of the project’s field activities (Project Provinces) in particular social mobilization (including inclusion of poorer households), business facilitation and linkages.
